About the Owner

HI, MY NAME IS LAUREN

Like many of you I grew up dancing. It was my biggest passion. However, I found that once I was out of college and wasn’t going professional, the classes that were offered were slim to none. Most studios out there have an age limit, most commonly, K-12. I hated that in a way I had “aged out of dance class.” Why couldn’t I continue for the love of it?

WHY I STARTED THE STUDIO

For the last 10 years, I’ve tried just about every type of exercise. While all types are great, what I really wanted, was a dance class; a true, warm-up, across the floor, learn a combo, dance class. Over time, I realized that I wasn’t the only one wishing for this outlet; and unable to find what I wanted outside of NYC, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a studio that would provide professional teachers, for people like myself (an adult) who JUST WANTED TO DANCE! Finally, I am able to take my passion and love of dance and bring it to others like myself. Let’s start dancing again!

BEGINNER

Beginner is perfect if you are just starting out on your dance journey or it’s been a long lapse since you have danced. Basic steps and vocabulary are broken down and dancers begin learning choreography at a slow and steady pace, so they can begin to form a base of that genre.

BEG/INT

Dancers have a basic understanding of the discipline and general dance terminology. Teachers will offer dancers opportunities to modify certain parts of choreography as needed to fit either the more advanced beginner or intermediate dancers.

INTERMEDIATE

Have mastered the basics and beginner lessons. No longer need choreography modifications and are ready for more of a challenge with more complex steps and movement at a faster pace.

ADVANCED

Have a strong dance background, and several years of recent dance experience. These classes will be challenging for intermediate to provide room for growth as well as offer room to excel as an advanced pre-professional dancer.
